Meadowood Youth—grades 6th through 12th—enjoy their own facility called The Rock House just down the street from Meadowood's main building. The environment features a cafe and a stage for live music to create a warm atmosphere for community and worship on Sundays and Wednesdays. Shuttle services are provided every Sunday morning.
To start, here's a little recap of DiscipleNow Weekend from February 2019:
If you missed it, know that Meadowood Youth is about more than just this one event. Here are other opportunities you have to grow each week:
Sunday Morning Live (SML)
SML is our Sunday morning Bible study at The Rock House. We typically begin the morning with a brief time as a large group before splitting into smaller Bible study classes where each student participates in a group comprised of students from his or her grade. These groups are led by adults who really love teenagers, listen to them and teach the Word of God. Sunday Morning Live begins at 9:15 a.m.
Youth FOCUS Classes
These Sunday evening classes meet from 5:30-6:30 during the Fall and Spring semesters. Guys and girls meet together, and are divided into middle school and high school groups. These gatherings offer a little deeper dive into God's Word as we learn more about being a disciple of Jesus. We always begin with some snacks, and then feed on the Word!
Filter is an hour-long Wednesday night experience at The Rock House that begins at 6:30. We'll sing with the band, study God's Word, pray, play games, and watch videos. It's always an adventure! The Rock House opens at 4:00pm, so come hang with us. Enjoy a great evening with friends whether you need to do homework, play some pool or ping pong, enjoy video games, watch TV, or talk to other students.
New Life Singers
Our student choir practices Sunday evenings at 5:00pm in the Music Room at Meadowood Baptist Church. You don't have to be considering a major in music or even participate in your school's choir. All you need is to enjoy singing to the Lord!
