Kingdoms: Where Should Our Allegiance Be?
Topic: Kingdom Living Scripture: Daniel 2, Matthew 6:9–6:10
In this sermon, Bob looks at the importance of the eternal kingdom of Christ. This entails not only a future reign but a present rule. As kingdoms vie for our allegiance, we must be aware of our hearts' leanings and surrender ourselves to the only kingdom that will conquer all.
As a followup to this sermon, Bob wanted to make sure you were equipped with Scriptures to help you understand how to address key themes of justice and violence. Please take time to read, ponder and pray over the passages below and see how you are to live a life that most honors Him.
Justice: Deuteronomy 16:18-20; Psalm 89:14; Proverbs 28:4-5; Isaiah 59:9-15; Amos 5:24; Micah 6:8; Matthew 23:23; Luke 7:24-30.
Violence: Genesis 6:22; Genesis 49:5-7; Psalm 27:11-14; Proverbs 4:13-19; Jeremiah 22:1-5.
