Meadowood Family,

Beginning March 3rd I have planned to give a series of messages centered around our purpose statement.

In discussions with staff and lay leaders in our church, this purpose statement came to fruition.

We believe it expresses in a clear and concise way the Biblical purposes the Lord has for us.

This statement expresses who we are and why we exist.

It reads that Meadowood is: "A family of Christ followers that depends on Jesus and seeks to declare God's Word, develop disciples, and deploy the church for His glory.

I am not sure as of yet whether this series will last three, four, or five weeks. I assure you I will be preaching the Bible as the thoughts expressed in the statement express Biblical truths.

Such information is vitally important for all who are members at Meadowood. Hopefully these messages will solidify in all our minds who we are and what we are to be about.

My prayer also is that this will enable all of us to communicate effectively with people in our community what is the purpose of Meadowood. If we want to reach people for Christ and incorporate them into the life of the church, it is a must that we know how to share the Gospel and relate to people why the ministry of the church is essential to their spiritual well being.

Please pray that the Lord will use this series of messages to strengthen His work through our church family.
